Let’s Be Friends Blog Hop #46 is now live! Come join the party!

Welcome to the Let’s Be Friends Blog Hop!

A blog hop is a set time frame for current or aspiring bloggers to find new blogs and quality content. It is a great way to make new friends and find inspiration! It is also a fabulous way to promote your own blog and posts.
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 45th Let’s Be Friends Blog Hop!
Join us every Tuesday at 7am (MST). This blog hop focuses on content. I love the idea of blog hopping, but I love the idea of reading posts and quality content on new blogs I’ve never been to even more. Instead of simply linking up your blog button, you are now able to link up your favorite post you recently wrote. Have a delicious recipe to share, DIY tutorial, or heartfelt post? Share it with us! All hosts and co-hosts put up some unique and fun content from the past week. Make sure to check them out. P.S.- you may still link up your blog button and blog name, but it is encouraged to link up your favorite post instead. You will get more page views and interest if you do so! Some of the most successful blog hops I have participate in focus on content rather than just exchanging follows. You never know who will become a loyal follower or pin that delicious new recipe you posted!
The BEST part of this blog hop? Each week there will be a WINNER! That’s right, each week we will choose one lucky blog to feature from the previous week’s hop. This hop receives thousands of page views every week, so your blog will have the chance to be center stage for free. You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win.
The last exciting change is that the co-host spots will now be available to all sponsors of All My Happy Endings or The Dwelling Tree. If you are interested in co-hosting the blog hop, email Tiffany or Mandi about sponsorship opportunities and how to co-host the weekly hop!

I came across Krysta’s blog- Krysta Steen, last week! I loved the idea of doing a year in review and recapping your most popular blog posts. Brilliant.
This cowboy caviar caught my eye, along with many other great posts. DIY milk glass vases, crock pot cinnamon sugar almonds, and lemon sugar scrub were some other great posts she had highlighted.
Krysta is a health nut and has lots of great recipes and ideas for staying in shape and feeling good. Check out her blog!
Keep posting awesome content! You make it so fun for me to read all your posts!

S’mores Peanut Butter Brownies

To spice up Christmas leftovers I used Kraft products as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®. I made delicious S’mores Peanut Butter Brownies using Kraft ingredients.

I love making Christmas desserts! This time of year calls for rich, decadent sweets as you cozy up by the fire watching a good movie with family. Holiday desserts are by far my favorite! I checked my pantry and refrigerator for Christmas leftovers from holiday baking and came up with the following checklist: graham crackers, Jet-Puffed Marshmallows, Baker’s Chocolate, lots of flour, sugar and butter, and Planters Peanut Butter. I love stocking up on Kraft Foods ingredients as they are easy to spice up leftovers on any given night.

That is when the thought came to my mind. Do S’mores Brownies exist? They must, I reasoned. Well, friends, they do. And they have become my favorite brownies, hands down. See those cute snowman french vanilla mallows? I had to use them! Normal mini marshmallows work great, too!

I normally don’t toot my own horn. I grew up around my Nana who told everyone her food was the best in town. She was not shy about it, let’s just say that. So I am a little hesitant to be that girl.

I love the buttery graham cracker crust layered with moist brownie. The peanut butter adds depth and richness against the sweetness of the brownie. The best part? Those gooey chewy Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows on top. It feels like you are eating a sandwich. A brownie sandwich. I am adding this recipe to my easy dessert recipes list!

Kids and adults will love these brownies.
I still needed to finish off those marshmallows and I was on a S’mores kick since the brownies vanished in two days. I had leftover Kraft Cool Whip and JELL-O around my house so I made S’mores parfaits!  I just had to run back to Walmart (where I purchased my baking goods) to get some more milk! My kiddo went wild for it. I will definitely do this again. It was quick, easy, and looked pretty! What a great dessert for a dinner party. Check out the recipe in this post: S’mores Parfaits.

A Christmas Reflection

I am thankful for:
Where do I start? I am so thankful for my family and their health. I am thankful for the many ways that God has shown his goodness to me over the past year. I am thankful for the gift of my daughter and the many blessings she brings to me on a daily basis. I am thankful for all of the good gifts that come from the hand of God.
I learned:
Humility. This year I have learned that it is better to serve than to be served. It is a concept that is too big for me to wrap my head around. How did I learn about humility? I failed. A lot. I failed in helping others and loving others how I wish I had done so. My desire is to grow more into a woman of faith whose heart reflects the desire of Jesus to love and serve others with humility.
I am hopeful for:
Jesus to work in my life. I am excited to see him change me. I am excited to see how he will work in my daughter this next year. I am hopeful for my family that some will come to know his deep love for them. I am hopeful that this next year will bring a new adventure and season that will be good for my husband and daughter. I am hopeful that God will give us the means to walk through 2014 with him.
Next year I won’t:
Do too much. I have a deep desire to slow down my life and not take on too much “stuff”. I really want to focus on what is most important- my family and my relationship with God. This past year I did too much and stressed myself out. I need to make some changes that will be difficult for me, but I definitely want to cut out areas of my life that are not best suited for this season.
My favorite memory was:
A conglomerate of morning family tickle fights. All the belly laughing, wrestling, tossing, horse fighting, and cuddling. Throwing the covers around my kiddo like a parachute. Those are my favorite memories.
