Maxi dresses. I love them right now. They are versatile, easy to throw on, and instantly make me feel prettier.
Bring on the cheese. The cheerleader and show choir kid in me will always be there.
I love finding clothes that are cozy and cute. When I do, I take advantage of the situation. Here I list out 5 reasons I think every mom should own a few maxi dresses!
I love my maxi dresses because it feels like I am wearing a moo moo dress but it looks much cuter than that. On days I feel a little bloated, I can throw on a pretty little dress and feel a better. My maxi’s are like pajamas- ready to go out in a cinch, and just as comfortable to watch movies and lounge around in.
I hate picking out what I am going to wear. I am not great at matching my clothes. What is worse is this whole trend of mis-matching clothes. I would look like a clown. Maxi dresses are easy because I have my whole outfit picked out in one step.
3. Perfect for lazy days.
Oh, I wish I could admit I feel like shaving my legs every day. Nope. Maxi dresses are perfect for summer days when I should shave and wear shorts but “waah, I don’t want to!!!”.
4. I feel pretty, oh so pretty.
There are days I sweep my house floor ten times, find yogurt in my hair, or realize I only put mascara on one eye. I need some help! The thought of my husband coming home day in and day out to a mom dressed in the same clothes she slept in makes me sad, because it has happened to me many times! There are days I just want to feel pretty. I don’t care if it is only to go to the library. I love my maxi dresses because they are art in themselves. The colors and designs make me happy.
Last, maxi dresses are great because I can dress them up or down. I can wear them to a summer barbecue or to a wedding. I love having clothes that can be used in a variety of ways and seasons. Plus, mine are pretty modest. I can actually wear a bra with several of them, which means I don’t have to worry about straps or special bras.
This one was purchased at Francesca’s- one of my favorite stores EVER…
What are your thoughts? Any style favorites for the summer?
