S’mores Parfaits (Recipe)

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I am enjoying friends and family this week. Therefore my blog has some fun recipes and topics I’ve prepared ahead of time. The only problem is now there are tons of things I want to write about but will hold off (watching my daughter open presents for the first time, my phone being hosed down with water, and avoiding family drama with the holidays- oh man!). But for now, S’mores. This month I am going wild over S’mores! I had to share this fun and easy recipe with you all. It took less than fifteen minutes to make this dessert, and I think they turned out lovely and delicious. My daughter LOVED these S’mores Parfaits, and I am not going to lie, I ate mine in one sitting. Many of these ingredients are probably sitting in your pantry right now. It’s a fun dessert to whip up for guests.
These S’mores Parfaits use Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows, graham crackers, dark chocolate chips, butter, Cool Whip, and JELL-O. I think they are perfect for a party or get together, and you can use any small cocktail glasses to dress them up. They yield about 4 servings.
Give them a shot! Tell me what you think:).
S’mores Parfaits
Time: 15 minutes Servings: 4
3 cups milk
1 box JELL-O (5.9 ounce)
10 graham crackers
2 cups mini marshmallows
2 TBSP melted butter
1-2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
Get 4 parfait, martini, or wine glasses ready. Make the JELL-O following the directions on the box.
Let the JELL-O mix set for about 5 minutes in the fridge. Place the graham crackers in a small Ziploc bag and using a rolling pin, roll over the crackers to crush them in coarse crumbs. Add the crumbs to a small bowl and mix in the butter until combined. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of pudding into the bottom of each glass. Sprinkle a layer of crumbled graham crackers on top and then add a layer of cool whip. Next add a few marshmallows. Repeat one more time, adding more pudding, then graham crackers, Cool Whip, and marshmallows. Top with a few chocolate chips and a piece of graham cracker. If desired, use a kitchen torch and lightly brown the top layer of marshmallows.
Serve chilled and enjoy! 🙂
