Some links for you

See ya next year, fall.
I feel as though I have been a little bit distant here on my blog. Life recently hasn’t really been more busy than usual. Yet, my daughter has been a bit more demanding of my time than normal. I have been giving in to a more relaxed schedule and desire to be more attentive to her needs. I have also been spending my mornings chatting with my husband and have been trying to read for my own personal growth. That means I have had a little less time to devote to my blog. I wish I could throw up last minute posts, but I am terrible at that. So today I want to share some great posts from the web I am loving.
The end of the year means another thing: doctor appointments. Every year I wait until the last minute to squeeze in all of our health needs. This week alone I have had the joy of going to the gyno, dentist, pediatric dentist, and getting our flu shots. I don’t want to have to do it all in December, so we are making our November “health” month. I am so grateful for our benefits and we pay so much for our healthcare I want to make sure we utilize it. So, the past few weeks all of our free time has been spent in offices. It grates on me but it must be done.
I want to share some links with you all I have been enjoying in the meantime. Perhaps some of these will make your morning a bit brighter as they have mine.
My sweet friend Lindsay is a high school teacher at an inner-city school. I don’t know how she does it. She is passionate about these kids, too. Anyways, she wrote a fantastic post on her blog about how “life is like Pure Barre“. Have you done Pure Barre? I haven’t, but I used to do ballet, and it was a killer workout. She plans to read this post to her students today. Love it.
I currently have an obsession with baby moccasins. Look at these.
Winter came in a big way last night. Boo. It is 1 degree today here. We pulled out our car scrapers, coats, and mittens. I love this for a coat hanger. I think my hubby would love it, too. The modern and organic look is my fave lately.
I want this wall art for my bathroom. Good for toddlers and adults who don’t wash their hands. (Rinsing doesn’t count!).
These custom baby story books have my heart and would make a fantastic present this season. My friend Lauren is one of the most talented and creative people I know. Lil would love a custom book with her name featured in it! I also think these would be the best baby shower present, ever.
I love Tawnya over at All Of Life’s Little Adventure’s. Her post, “Let Them Be Little“, was exactly what I needed to read this morning. I feel like she is a mom that is real and honest, but also super encouraging. I relate to almost every post she writes. She speaks truth.
I’ve been procrastinating on a major project this morning. Finishing up Lil’s baby album. Only been working on it for months. I have got to finish it today!
See you all soon!
