When life gets crazy…

It’s a little sad I haven’t been able to put up a blog post for almost an entire week! My computer decided to get really sick, so it is at the service shop. Not just for a week. Several weeks! I can make it without my computer for a few weeks, right? I think I can, I think I can…

Other than not having a computer to blog on, our weather also decided to go nuts on us. We experienced t-shirt weather, flash floods, and several inches of snow this past weekend. I am ready for a bit more consistency.

My daughter has become addicted to our iPad. Has anyone else experienced this? The thing is, she doesn’t get it all that much, but when she does, she becomes a mad woman when we go to take it away. I am very close to banning all media. It just drives me nuts.

Three year olds are a funny bunch. I have never witnessed anyone in my life change outfits more than my daughter. I don’t even think as a teenager I changed my clothing as much as her! Yesterday she thought it would be a good idea to take everything, I mean everything, out of her dresser and closet (as much as she could reach). Within just five minutes I walked into her room to discover a mountain of clothes, previously perfectly folded clothes, with her sitting on top grinning at her accomplishment. I wish I could say I immediately had her help me pick it all up. All I could do was sigh, and walk away. I did, however, let her change from a princess to a chef to what looked like a bag woman. My fave look she wears is heels with a baggy dress and a purse hanging from her arm. It just looks too funny.

Lil has also become terrified of the bathroom drain. She thinks I can literally get sucked down into it. The last time I put my toe into it, chuckling at the hilarity of her reasonings, she started screaming and crying and hugging me saying “no- Mommy, don’t go down in the drain!”. I assured her I would never fit down there, but it was no use. I don’t think I will ever scare her again with my big toe.

Some weeks are just a little more messy and scattered than others, just like this random blog post. I hope to be back on my computer soon enough. But for now, this iPad and app seem to work just fine. Have a happy Monday, and don’t get sucked down the drain!

My granddaughter does the same thing on the ipad. My daughter uses it strictly so she can get dinner started and so when she goes to put it up, man, you think we were ripping her toenails off. And now, she and her brother fight over the games. A good thing, yes, but my daughter is like you, she has created a monster. And the changing clothes thing – out of three daughters, only one did that, started at age 3 and she is now 25 and still DOES IT!

Aw 17 months is such a fun age! Yes, little girls get so busy! It is always hilarious to watch our house go from clean to a mess in less than an hour!

Ugh, sorry to hear about your computer issues but sometimes it’s nice to disconnect for a little while. Just how we don’t like to see our kids glued to electronics I’m sure they don’t want to see us doing the same. How funny is she with the outfit changes and taking all of her clothes out.
