Unique work from home job

I work from home. I love it! It hasn’t always been this way, though. Working from home has it’s own unique challenges and struggles. It is amazing to be able to work in my pajamas, drinking coffee from my cozy cup, in the nook of my living room. I love being my own boss, and therefore setting my own schedule.

Some of the difficulties making decent money working from home and being an organized and take-charge person.

Becoming a virtual assistant is an awesome way to make money from home! VA’s have tasks such as: uploading blog posts, creating images for blog posts, answering email, scheduling social media content, and more. Do you know any VA’s or have you ever tried it out?

Sound like a match made in heaven?

Tons of small and medium businesses hire virtual assistants so they can focus on the core work of their company. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a VA, you should check out the book, The Boostrap VA by Lisa Morosky. Lisa Morosky is a seasoned blogger and writer.  I was happy to review this book at a time I was interested in diversifying my at-home work. Right now I don’t have too much extra time to take on becoming a VA, but I had thought about it for a while.

I really enjoyed reading this book and learning about what it entails to be a VA because the book is incredibly thorough and gives ideas on what industries use VA’s, how to be a great VA, what supplies and technology you will need to start your business, and myths about being a VA. There is an awesome section that helps you write your business plan!

Between blogging and selling essential oils from home, I am a huge advocate of working at home. I love it so much and like sharing ways women can work in the comfort of their own home!

Thanks for the great book suggestion! I do a little VA work from home now, but I almost fell into it accidentally. This book sounds like it would be super helpful for figuring out how to take things to the next level.

I am a Social Media Manager and graphic designer – and I LOVE the fact that I can work practically everywhere. Car in the shop? No problem. Hook me up with your wifi, and I can get some work done while waiting 🙂

I guess that’s the only reason my boss allowed me to go to Germany for 3 weeks in December :oD he knows if he really need something, I can work from over there as well.

    Thanks for hosting the linkup!
