5 healthy snacks kids will love! + Almondina Biscuit Giveaway

Check out my favorite go to snacks for kiddos that even I like! There is really no reason for junk foods when you can have your pantry stocked with some of these easy, delicious, and nutritious snacks for your family.

1. Trail Mix
Trail mix is one of our family favorites. It is fun because we can mix it up. We can go with sweet and salty, savory, or spicy. I love trail mix because it packs easy and is great for day hikes or trips to the park. The good fats in nuts help us to get in some calories if we are busy outside, and nuts pair well with dried fruits. This variety I created at Sprouts Farmers Market using dried corn, sesame sticks, dried cranberries, raisins, pineapple bits, peanuts, almonds, and a few white chocolate chips. Just beware, little toddlers can still choke on raisins and peanuts so make sure your little one is ready for trail mix before offering.

2. Almondina Almond Biscuits
Almondina Biscuits are so good! I was lucky to come across this gem of a find when the company reached out to me to sample some packs of their healthy biscuits. Sold in all 50 states, you can find these snacks at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Walmart and more. You can find local stores at storefinder. These yummy biscuits are all natural, free of cholesterol, coloring, and preservatives, only 30 calories per slice, and non-dairy. They go great with coffee or tea and make a really fun and unique cracker to serve at a party with soft cheeses. I loved all the samples I tried, but my absolute favorite were the Gingerspice with chunks of Australian Ginger and the Chocolate Cherry made with fine dark chocolate. My husband and daughter loved these biscuits, too. They are a delicious alternative to fattening and calorie filled cookies and still deliver the satisfaction you and your kiddos want for your sweet tooth! Scroll to the bottom to enter to win a sample pack for you and your family worth over $20 featuring plenty of delicious varieties of Almondina Almond Biscuits!

3. Cuties California Clementines
Our family loves cuties! These are a perfect fruit to take on the go. I can stash three or four of these in my purse and easily remove the peel for a quick and yummy snack packed with Vitamin C. Cuties are seedless, sweet, snack sized, and fat free. We always buy a pack when they are on sale.

4. GoGo SqueeZ Apple Sauce
These easy to pack fruit snacks are perfect for my daughter. They even make great snacks for my husband and I if we are going on a hike or doing a long run. I love that they are mess free and compact. They are also a great price. They are vegan, all natural, gluten free, kosher, and made with no genetically modified ingredients. I find mine at Costco, but I am sure they are sold at many stores.

5. Clif Kid Z Bar
I buy these for myself and my daughter. Normal energy bars are actually too much for me! I love the size of the Clif Kid bars. My daughter loves them. They have saved us many times in a pinch. They have a good blend of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber and are a great alternative to fast food if we are having a busy day. They contain no high-fructose syrup, hydrogenated oils, or artificial flavors. My favorite flavor is definitely the Chocolate Brownie.
