Grilled meat is a staple around our household. These fun, spicy, and tangy rubs are sure to be a hit! I can already imagine some chicken rubbed with the ____ alongside some black beans and a yummy salad. Rubs are great because they add so much flavor and depth to healthy grilled meats. We are a huge fan of rubs and marinades. Plus, what a great name and fantastic flavors for spices!
Tonguespank is a new chicago-based spice company that specializes in adventurous and unusual taste blends. The series I tried was “Liquor & Heat” and is based on liquor-infused hot peppers. Yum!
There are no preservatives in these spices. They are condiments to replace plain old salt, pepper, parmesan, and crushed red pepper. I loved the Smoky Bourbon Table Blend, made with smoky morita chipotle peppers, garlic and bourbon. Yummy on eggs, burgers, and grilled veggies! The Citrus Rum Table Blend is also delicious on seafood and pork. To order go to Tonguespank.
