My baby girl recently turned three! I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. I feel like I just took her home yesterday. Naturally, she wanted a Disney Princess and Play-Doh party. Now that she can communicate, it was fun for her to tell me little ideas and things she wanted at her birthday. Like, for example, a sprinkle doughnut cake! (Which was a total hit for the kiddos!).
Her favorite things in the world right now are Anna and Elsa, all the princesses, anything “hot pink”, her friends, and anything sparkly, glittery, or sprinkly. We decided to stack up all the donuts for an easy cake that everyone could grab and go.
Here is my pretty little girl posing in front of the table! She wanted to wear her pink dress. She had talked about her birthday party for WEEKS before it came, and talked about it for WEEKS after.
“Is today my birthday, Mommy?” came out of her mouth every day. At one point, she literally jumped up and down and screamed, “I AM SO EXCITED!!!!”.
This birthday party was super budget friendly. I was able to keep the cost under $80, as we had the party in our home. The decorations were simple and cost about $10. I ordered the giant poster from Oriental Trading . The donuts we ordered from our favorite local donut spot. Then we simply made a fruit salad, a few quiche’s, and brewed some fresh coffee for the adults.
The kiddos all got a special Good 2 Grow Juice. I had to include these as a party favor because Lillian is obsessed with these adorable little drinks. Lillian always wants one when we go to Target. I love them because I can usually re-use the cup a couple times, and they have cute characters like Hello Kitty, Strawberry Shortcake, and Barbie. Plus, they have no sugar added and no added colors, flavors, or preservatives. Needless to say, her little guests were super excited to take one home!
Maybe it is because I heart donuts too much, but my favorite part of her bash was this simple and easy donut cake. It looked so cute and took one major and difficult step out of out party. Since we had a morning party (like 10am), I opted for brunch items and these fit the bill!
I decided to set up a station to play with craft items like these sparkly foam cupcakes, Play-Doh, and coloring. I even made some homemade Play-Doh which was super fun and saved us tons of money!
This little girl has so much joy- it is literally contagious. She adds so much happiness to our lives. I never imagined I would be so blessed to have such a kind-hearted and sweet daughter. Her gentle soul is beautiful and makes us very confused: how did we get so blessed?
I am so grateful I was able to spend the day with my kiddo in her favorite ways. It was awesome to see her play with her little friends and get squeezed by family and friends who adore her. It will be a special memory I will hold in my heart forever!
For goodie bags I got some help from my step-mother, who found these adorable Frozen cups. We filled them with a small rice crispy treat, a couple lollipops, a small can of Play-Doh, and for the babies a Bubble Guppies board book.
